The Burial Log 

The Burial Log is the only remaining record of those buried in the two Toledo State Hospital Cemeteries.  There are no historic burial maps. For over 10 years we have been studying the burial log and comparing public records to find the identity of those  listed in the in it. Names were often incorrect or misspelled and prior to 1894 no death certificates were filed, making it very hard to determine true identity. 

A digital image of the original  log has been made. It is 95 pages long, and often hard to read.  We have made an alphabetized transcription which can be searched, and contains some supplemental information to help establish identity. Once you have found a match and a grave number, we can provide a copy of the page containing original burial information.
